COMMON QUESTIONS

How are the funds from the community-powered campaigns allocated and utilised?

As a social enterprise here is a guide to how we allocate funds:

  • 70% directly funds the campaign, including resources, materials, and activities that are crucial for our campaign.

  • 20% covers operational costs to keep us running smoothly and efficiently.

  • 10% is set aside for future projects and innovation, ensuring we can continue to support important causes.

I have a petition, but it hasn't reached 10,000 signatures yet. Can I still submit it for consideration?

If you're a member, submit it to us through our lobby submission process. We'll have a look and if we feel there could be enough support, we just might take it on.

How do you decide which community campaigns to take on?

Our criteria for selecting campaigns include two key factors:

1) The campaign must gather at least 10,000 signatures, demonstrating substantial community support;

2) aligns with our principles.

*For LFG members with campaigns that haven't met the signature requirement, if they are urgent and have significant community support, we encourage you to submit these through our lobby submission process.

What happens if a campaign is overfunded?

It hasn't happened yet, but if a campaign was overfunded those excess funds would be redirected to future community campaigns that need support.

If my petition has been accepted, can I be involved?

Absolutely. Crafting a petition that racks up over 10,000 signatures is no small feat, we'll want to know your background on the issue and leverage your expertise to design the right strategy and campaign.

I am passionate about one of your campaigns, how can I pitch in to make a difference?

If you're vibing with one of our campaigns, you can help by spreading the word. Share it on your socials, talk about it with friends and family, hit us up for volunteer opportunities, and chat to us about hosting your own event – let's do some good together!
